‘Dining Days’ begins this week in University City

Thursday marks the beginning of University City Dining Days, a two-week event that highlights the menus of dozens of the Philly neighborhood’s restaurants.

The event, which runs July 12-26, features every kind of restaurant, from those owned by celebrity chefs to the “hidden gems” of the neighborhood.

This year’s Dining Days includes a record setting 34 neighborhood restaurants.

Organizers say the event drives traffic to University City restaurants during what can be a slow period for business.
