Delaware taxi driver death ruled a homicide

The death of a Millsboro man, whose body was found inside his taxicab, was deemed a homicide by police.

Delaware State Police have identified the victim as 45-year-old William Toomey. His body was found inside the taxi cab he drove for Delaware Beach Taxi. The cab was found on the shoulder of Country Living Rd. in Millsboro.

While investigators have labeled Toomey’s death as a homicide, they are not releasing details on the cause and manner of his death due to the ongoing investigation.

Police are asking for help from anyone who may have seen Toomey’s taxi, pictured above, driving around the Millsboro area between 8 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday night.
