Delaware organizes deer hunt for youth and disabled hunters

Delaware will open public and private lands this weekend for young and non-ambulatory disabled hunters. The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will host these hunters Saturday, with some conditions.

Youth hunters must be 10 to 15 years old and accompanied by an adult licensed hunter who is not carrying a firearm. Hunters 13 to 15 years old must have completed a hunter education course, possess a certification card and purchase a Delaware junior hunting license, and all the typical bag limits apply.

Anyone who wants a deer stand will have to sign up for the drawing that takes place 90 minutes before legal shooting time.
