Delaware National Park bill officially introduced

Delaware’s Congressional Delegation introduce a measure to finally establish a National Park in Delaware.

The First State National Historical Park Act of 2011 would focus on the history of Delaware’s founding, and the state’s role in the founding of the nation. Sites and attractions would be established in each of Delaware’s three counties.

Senator Tom Carper has been pushing for a National Park in Delaware for years. “I cannot wait for the day when families all across this country and world will plan their vacations around the Delaware National Park, to learn how the ‘Small Wonder’ helped launch the most enduring experiment in democracy that the world has ever known.”
