Delaware economic panel considers funding for two expansion projects

Delaware’s Council on Development Finance is meeting today to consider funding the expansions of two major corporations: DuPont and Johnson Controls

DuPont has requested $1.5 million for a new biotech research center. The Associated Press reports the Wilmington-based company earned $3 billion last year — about the same as the state budget.

The council is also considering a $2.4 million grant to help Milwaukee-based Johnson Controls build a battery manufacturing facility in Middletown.
