Delaware accepting proposals for surface water project plans

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Watershed Stewardship has begun accepting project proposals for surface water plans.

State, county and municipal governments and government subdivisions can apply for matching grants around basic concepts like stormwater retrofits, green technology practices, stream and wetland restoration projects, small watershed studies, master surface water and drainage plans, and other source water pollution control projects.

Proposals are due by 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31, and matching grants of $50,000 will be awarded based on recommendations by the Delaware Clean Water Advisory Council.
