Deadly weather

    Strong winds knocking over trees and power lines in New Jersey have claimed their first victim.

    According to the Associated Press, West Milford police say a tree fell on a car on Macopin Road, killing a man inside and injuring his wife.

    The woman was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson with head injuries.

    Meanwhile, Teterboro has reported wind gusts of 47 miles per hour, and Tom’s River reports gusts of 43.
