Crash closes Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor
UPDATE: Police reopened Route 9 around 9:15 a.m.
Authorities are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision on Route 9 in Bayville shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The crash is in the northbound lanes near Dudley Park in Bayville, resulting in a closure of Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor, according to emergency radio transmissions.
Multiple ambulances are on the scene, said JSHN contributors Bobbielyn Harrsch and Lisa D. Arnold. Shortly before 8:30 a.m., authorities requested a medevac to land at ShopRite in Bayville, according to emergency radio transmissions.
Google Traffic indicates that traffic is building on Route 9 and nearby connecting roadways.
