The head of Philadelphia City Council doesn’t think it’s time to have the lame ducks quacking.

Council President Darrell Clarke said he doesn’t believe that anyone is a lame duck, especially Mayor Michael Nutter.

“I don’t like that term, lame duck. I understand that it’s pretty much what he’s viewed as, but until that mayor leaves office, it’s our responsibility as a council, and mine as council president, to work with that mayor,” he said.

Clarke said he’s focusing on many initiatives this year that will require the combined efforts of  Council and the mayor.
