Corbett nominates agriculture department secretary

Pa. Gov. Tom Corbett has selected a nominee as the secretary for the Agriculture Department. Pennsylvania Farm Bureau official George Greig has been chosen for the cabinet position.

If approved during Senate hearings later this month, Greig will replace Russell Redding, who will now serve as dean of agriculture and environmental sciences at Delaware Valley College.

Greig, the Associated Press report, operates a 650-acre dairy farm in Crawford County.
