Cool and pleasant for days

Did you turn your heat on for the first time last night? The coldest overnight reading was 24 degrees in Walpack, Sussex County, while it was relatively balmy near 50 degrees in Cape May County (benefitting from warm water on two sides).

As many of you say, it’s always a beach day; check out the color of the ocean moments ago in Loch Arbour via TheSurfersView.com.

We’re in for mainly sunny conditions straight through next week, although some clouds are possible later Saturday into Sunday (slight chance of a shower Saturday night in the north). Daytime highs through Saturday will be in the low-mid 50s (coolest in the northwest), while lows will drop down to the upper 20s in the higher elevations, low to mid 30s inland, and upper 30s at the coast tonight and Friday night. Slightly warmer Saturday night. A breezy west wind today will make it feel like the 40s in many locations.

Temperatures could once again reach near 60 degrees Sunday and during the beginning of next week.
