Conference looks at Delaware’s prison population

The Delaware Center for Justice hosts their annual education conference today at the Queen in Wilmington.  The conference will focus on how pre-trial detention drives Delaware’s prison population.  There will also be a discussion of how the state can balance public safety needs with conserving tax dollars by only detaining defendants who pose a public safety risk or may not show up for trial.  The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Wilmington.
