SEPTA conductor attacked aboard train at Ardmore station

    Police and transit officials are investigating a reported assault of a conductor on a suburban Philadelphia commuter train line.The conductor was attacked around 3 p.m. Wednesday on the Norristown High Speed Line at the Ardmore Junction Station, according to SEPTA.

    Police said a passenger shoved the female conductor’s head into a glass booth. She was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The suspect was taken into custody and faces assault charges.

    The attack stemmed from a dispute over a fare, police said.

    The names of the conductor and the suspect weren’t released.
