Community rallies to save local Girl Scout camp

Members of the Lower Oxford community in Chester County are rallying support to save a local Girl Scout camp and they are taking their message to the networks of social media.

The Daily Local News reports the community is working to save Camp Tweedale, a local Girl Scout camp that has been scheduled to close next year.

Following a planning meeting last week, organizers say they are taking their message to the Internet and plan to use social media outlets, such as Facebook, to get their message out to the public.

Organizers say the camp has served as a critical part of the local community and the Girl Scout community.
