This Saturday, Lyceum Physical Medicine and Roxborough Community Acupuncture will host the second annual Roxborough Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, which was created to familiarize the community with health care providers in the area, is free to the public.
However, guests are asked to donate non-perishable items that will benefit the North Light Community Center, which has been serving the area for 75 years by assisting families living in the area and neighboring communities such as Manayunk, East Falls, Andorra and Wissahickon.
“If people are looking for some help and aren’t sure where to turn, this is a good opportunity to see a lot of different types of specialties in one place,” said Dr. William Pezzollo, Lyceum Physical Medicine’s manager.
Guests will be able to learn about traditional and non-traditional health care services in a casual environment while partaking in free chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture treatments and body, work, and massage demonstrations. Free food sensitivity consultations will also be available.
There will also be several workshops during the day that will include “Morning Stretch,” “Mind Body Therapy,” “Weigh Less, Feel Your Best, Have more Zest” and many more.
Pezzollo, a chiropractor, will be hosting “The ABCs of Back and Neck Pain.”
Giveaways and healthy food will be offered throughout the day.
Lyceums Physical Medicine is located at 445 Lyceum Ave. To register for the workshops, call (877) 913-5258.
