Committee of Seventy: Halt Family Court project

The Committee of Seventy urged Governor Ed Rendell in an editorial to halt the release of $200 million for the redevelopment of the Family Court building at 15th and Arch Streets to investigate the site’s no-bid contract with a real estate agent. “Troubling allegations that continue to come out almost daily about who knew what and when, compounded by pending litigation over development rights,” said President Zach Stahlberg in a statement, “make it unrealistic that the Family Court will be built in the Rendell era.”
