Coming to a City Paper honor box near you: immigration reporting on de-industrialized cities

2012 holds a lot of promises.

Everything will be gamified, we’ll find out who’s up against Barack Obama in the general election and the world just might end.

And today we find out that we can expect some reporting on immigration and de-industrialized cities.
City Paper‘s Dan Denvir and photographer Zoe Strauss have received a $10,000 immigration reporting grant to compile a report focusing on Philadelphia and Detroit about immigrant life in de-industrialized American cities.

You can find their work in City Paper and The Atlantic Cities later in the year.
