Columnist calls out Christie for charter support without statistics

    N.J. Gov. Chris Christie is taking heat for his ardent support of charter schools despite his reluctance to release data proving their successes.

     

    Star-Ledger columnist Bob Braun is demanding that Christie cough up the numbers the governor says are there — showing the effectiveness of a charter school education over public schools. He argues Christie hasn’t been totally forthcoming about the type of students enrolled in charter schools and their socioeconomic differences from public school students.
