Coffee After Dark poetry series finds new home in Mt. Airy’s 7165 Lounge

After four years of poetry night Coffee After Dark, the event hopes to have found a new home in Mt Airy.

On Thursday three featured artists and those who picked up the “open mic” entertained a small crowd at the 7165 Lounge on Germantown Avenue. The lineup consisted of three poets — Adriann “the Pen” Bautista, Theresa the Songbird and Ursula Rucker are featured.

The poetry event started four years ago at the now-closed Wired Beans Cafe in Germantown. The event has found in 7165 Lounge what coordinator Darius Lantz hopes will become the event’s new home.
