Cleared

Nathalia Rosario was cleared yesterday of drug charges. The 13-year-old became the target of a North Philadelphia drug bust last month, reportedly for her choice to wear a pink jacket.

Rosario was cleared of felony drug charges after being arrested Nov. 3 in front of her home. The Daily News reports the Kensington charter school student is the victim of a botched police effort in which law enforcement officer were searching for a suspect (albeit, male) in a pink jacket.

Records show Rosario was not read her Miranda rights, was not properly interrogated, was not served with a search warrant and, as yesterday’s court decision shows, was not the target of the drug bust. Internal Affairs in investigating the arrest procedure.
