City of Camden launches ‘Eye in the Sky’ camera policing program

    Think of it as virtual police patrol in your neighborhood.

    On Monday, the City of Camden introduced its “Eye in the Sky” program, a $1.8 million project that will give city police officers the ability to patrol neighborhoods via video camera.

    Camden Mayor Dana Redd says the city managed to secure funds from the state for the project.

    Police officers already uses video footage from 40 cameras to help fight crime.
