City Commissioner candidates argue over posting election results online

The City Commissioners run elections. So it seems logical they’d want to publish election results online. But “logical” and “Philadelphia politics” do not always go hand in hand. They sure do make for fun elections, though.

Check out Philadelphia Weekly’s report on Philadelphia City Commissioner candidate Stephanie Singer’s recap of last night’s Democratic ward meeting.

Singer and incumbent Marge Tartaglione apparently squared off last night over the issue of posting election results online. Estimates for doing so range from free (Singer’s) to $500,000 (Tartaglione).
