The Citizens Planning Institute three-evening Pilot Course

The Citizens Planning Institute, administered through the Philadelphia Planning Commission and funded by a grant from the William Penn Foundation, will kick off this fall with a three-evening pilot course offered on November 4, 11, and 18, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Community College of Philadelphia’s Center for Business & Industry at 18th and Callowhill Street. The pilot course will be interactive and collaborative- providing information about planning, zoning reform and the development process to leaders in neighborhood organizations. Course material will include practical tools to catalyze positive change.

Phase II of the program in 2011, will provide “Citizen Planner” certification, with the development of a series of electives supplementing the core course. More information and an Application form will be available when the website is launched in mid- September. (Noted by the Citizens Planning Institute)
