Christie weighing whether to return to New Jersey for storm

Republican Gov. Chris Christie says he is monitoring the snowstorm taking aim at New Jersey from the presidential campaign trail in New Hampshire and will decide by midday whether to return home.

Christie told reporters Friday in New Hampshire that he spoke with his Cabinet about the storm that has most of New Jersey under a blizzard warning.

On Thursday, Christie said he did not plan to return from New Hampshire but he would re-evaluate if circumstances warranted. He is scheduled to remain in New Hampshire campaigning through the weekend.

Christie’s office says he held a phone meeting with his Cabinet on Thursday and that state agencies are making “all necessary preparations”
