N.J. Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. President Stephen Sweeney will be in Camden County today to talk about consolidating police and fire services in some of the local departments.

NJ.com and the Associated Press report the private meeting is meant to address the potential for mergers among some Camden County departments. The meeting comes a week after Camden announced it will rehire some laid-off police and firefighters with Port PILOT money.
