Christie spoils the tea party
Members of the Tea Party are livid. To them Chris Christie represents the kind of moderate, middle of the road, wishy-washy, principle-free compromiser that the “establishment” would foist on the GOP if their side won the ongoing civil war within the Party.
They’d like a smaller, purer party. As for electability, what does that matter if you’ve no interest in governing?
