Christie says he’ll consider restoring technology upgrades funding

N.J. Gov. Chris Christie says he’ll consider reinstating $35 million in funding for technology upgrades if the legislature sends a supplemental appropriations bill to his desk.

The guv blames Democrats for cutting the funding, as the Associated Press reports, and two computer crashes at the Motor Vehicle Commission last month highlight a need for tech funding.

The Senate Budget Committee will review the crashes Thursday, which kept MVC workers from accessing license, registration and title information.
