Christie plans trip to Iowa after state’s GOP donors visit New Jersey

Chris Christie doesn’t have to worry about making friends with the state’s unions. He’s got buds in Iowa. After a handful of GOP donors from the state visited the New Jersey governor yesterday in an attempt to convince him to run for president, Christie has agreed to make a trip out there this summer.

    But not to talk presidency.

NJ.com reports Christie will participate in an education summit in Iowa at the request of Gov. Terry Branstad, whom Christie has campaigned for.

Christie still insists he won’t run for president in 2012.
