Christie kicks off Health Center Week in Burlington
It’s National Health Center Week around the country, and N.J. Gov. Chris Christie will kick off the Garden State’s participation today in Burlington City.
He’ll be in Burlington to sign a proclamation today in honor of the annual event to recognize public health center and their contributors, and their work in ensuring everyone has access to medical care.
Events across the state will boost health care awareness with things like screening, massages and immunizations for the “serving locally, leading nationally” theme. The Associated Press reports the needs of the homeless and migrant farm workers are being given a special focus this year.
