Christie hospitalized for breathing trouble

    Update: A spokesman says the guv is alert and in contact with his staff, and that a transfer of power to Lt. Guv. Kim Guadagno was never being considered. But Christie won’t be on 101.5 FM tonight for the “Ask the Governor” series.

    Original report: N.J. Gov. Chris Christie was hospitalized this morning for breathing troubles, but a spokesman says he is “doing fine.”

    NJ.com reports Christie, who has asthma, is at Somerset Medical Center where the the SUVs that usually transport him and his family are parked outside the emergency room.

    His 10:30 a.m. bill signing in Hillsborough was canceled, and his appearance tonight on 101.5 FM has not been confirmed.
