Chinese food deliveryman fatally shot in Philadelphia

A Philadelphia Chinese food deliveryman has been shot and killed while dropping off an order in the city’s Crescentville neighborhood.

Police say the 49-year-old driver was able to drive away from the gunfire Thursday night before losing consciousness and crashing through a fence.

He was pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

No arrests have been made.

Police say the New China Chinese restaurant driver was attacked around 10:30 p.m. while making a delivery to the Hill Creek Apartments.

At least 12 shots were fired.

Police say it’s unclear if the driver was being robbed. They say they’re investigating whether the shooting was random or if the victim was targeted.
