Chester County will interview seven commissioner applicants

Chester County’s Common Pleas Board of Judges will interview seven county commissioner applicants Wednesday after weeding out the qualified few from a bulk of applications. Thirty-nine people applied initially, and one person withdrew an application.

The seven men will participate in public meetings later this week to determine their qualifications. Five of the applications received came from ineligible residents.

The Pottstown Mercury has more information on the final seven, who are vying to replace former Commissioner Carol Aichele, now Gov. Tom Corbett’s Secretary of Commonwealth.
