Cherry Hill Mall opens DreamWorks built Santa house [photos]

This Black Friday Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT) debuted a 2,000 square feet interactive “Adventure to Santa – A DreamWorks DreamPlace,” at Cherry Hill Mall as one of eight locations in the United States.

This holiday experience is so much different than the regular going-to-see-Santa-at-the-mall. It has an interactive approach that mixes technology, storytelling and favorite animation characters that the whole family can enjoy. Taking a tour of Santa’s holiday cottage, getting to design a magical sled, taking a 4D trip to North Pole with Shrek and other favorite characters, playing games and lastly getting to see Santa is one of many things offered at DreamPlace.

Appointments are available 7 days a week and can be easily made through a smartphone app “Dream Place” or through Cherry Hill Mall web-site. They are customizable, so by adding your child’s name, wish list or even photo Santa will know them by name the moment they walk into his workshop.

The experience of visiting Santa’s cottage is FREE and available through December 24. DreamPlace allows up to 8 people per appointment and you have an option of purchasing your photos with Santa after your adventure. No pets allowed.
