Cheltenham looks at in-school ads to help generate revenue

Schools need money and advertisers need a blank canvas.

With that in mind, the Cheltenham School District is considering in-school ads as an alternative revenue source. The idea was floated during a public budget forum last week.

In its early stages, the plan involved reaching out to a company that coordinates efforts to put education-based ads in schools.

The Globe Times Chronicle reports initial reaction to the idea was positive, but those at the forum asked for more information before moving forward.
