Chadds Ford man, 77, struck and killed while crossing Henry
Philadelphia Police have identified the victim in last night’s fatal accident in East Falls as Alonzo Lewis of Conestoga Court in Chadds Ford.
Police say the 77-year-old man was struck by a car at 6:40 p.m. while trying to cross the intersection of Henry Avenue and School House Lane near Philadelphia University.
The vehicle that struck Lewis, a 2010 Nissan, was turning left onto Henry Avenue from School House Lane at the time of the accident. Police say the driver stopped and no charges were filed.
Lewis died at Temple University at 7:16 p.m.
