Catholics optimistic

In naming a commission to study the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Cardinal Justin Rigali said he’s optimistic about the future of Catholic eduation in the city.

The commission, led by retired senior vice president and chief financial officer for DuPont John Quindlen, will guide the Office of Catholic Education in creating a sustainable plan for the Archdiocese, the Daily News reports.

Rigali expects a report by next fall, which is projected to provide insight into the Archiocese’s business and education models.
