Casino Redevelopment Authority steps up boardwalk funding efforts
In its effort to liven up the Atlantic City Boardwalk, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has put aside $200,000 to assist organizers in putting on free concerts at publicly owned music venues.
The CRDA will kick in 30 percent of each concert’s cost — a total that must exceed $25,000, as the Press of Atlantic City reports. Meaning the CRDA can’t fund events that don’t cost at least $83,000.Also bringing some new acts to AC is the recently announced return of the free summer concert series at Gardner’s Basin, which is set to kick off June 4th.
