Camden heroin overdoses linked to laced substance

Cooper University Hospital treated 11 people between Friday and Sunday for heroin overdoses from what authorities believe is an especially dangerous batch of the drug.

Street dealers in North Camden and Whitman Park are distributing bags of a brand called “Hellfire,” the Associated Press reports, which may be laced with fentanyl or another dangerous substance. The 11 people treated for overdoses survived and were released from the hospital.
