Camden, Delaware gets a new mayor

Voters in Camden, Kent County have elected a new mayor.

Wallace Edmanson defeated incumbent Richard Maly in Saturday’s election, 337 to 216.  Edmanson previously served as a commissioner on Kent County Levy Court.   The election drew a heavy turnout, and came a month after former Town Manager James Plumley was charged with embezzling $120,000.  Maly was in his first term as mayor.
