Camden County seeks former NYC police director to help build regional police force

First John Timoney, now Jose Cordero.

Camden County freeholders are expected to vote tonight on a one year contract for Cordero, a former New York City Police inspector, to help the county in its quest for a metro police force.
According to the Gloucester County Times, Timoney, a former Philadelphia Police commissioner who worked with Camden County last year, recommended Cordero.

The county is still in the process of figuring out how to structure the larger police force.
