Bucks County sheriff’s office subject of grand jury examination

Prosecutors in Bucks County are looking into possible misconduct in the sheriff’s office, calling on the deputy, Sgt. Gary Browndorf, to testify before a grand jury later this week.

Browndorf’s lawyer says Browndorf is only a witness in what County Commission Diane Ellis-Marseglia told the Inquirer is a case of mismanagement and questionable spending. With little elaboration, Marseglia says the complaints against the office are similar to those named against Register of Wills Barbara Reilly, who faces corruption charges for allegedly forcing staffers to do campaign work on and off the job.
