Bridge toll hikes

DRPA board member John Dougherty proposed a one-year delay to planned toll hikes for area bridges as the Delaware River Port Authority gets ready for its board meeting this week.

The proposal would put off a planned $1 bump in toll rates for the Walt Whitman, Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross bridges, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The DRPA will consider the proposal at  its Wednesday board meeting.
