Woman’s body pulled from Schuylkill river in Philly

    Police say the body of a woman was found in the river near center city Philadelphia earlier today.

    A police spokeswoman said a crew of construction workers spotted the victim’s body in the Schuylkill River just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, near South Street.

    The woman’s body has been taken to the city medical examiner’s office, which will determine a cause of death, the Associated Press reports.

    The woman has not yet been identified. Police said the victim is listed as a Jane Doe.
