‘Boardwalk Empire’ author compares TV character to real-life Nucky Johnson

How well do TV characters stack up to the real-life people they portray? We may never know if the big screen Batman is an accurate portrayal of the real caped figure roaming Gotham City, but a forum scheduled tomorrow night at Camden County College will give attendees a better look at the real-life Nucky Johnson.

Nelson Johnson, whose book inspired the HBO series Boardwalk Empire, will be at the college at 7 p.m. to discuss the former Atlantic City political boss and the Nucky Johnson as played by Steve Buscemi on HBO.

Galloway Patch has its own comparison here.
