Blowing a gale

It’s a good day to wear heavy shoes:

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for The Delaware Valley starting at 9 this morning – winds of 35 mph are expected and higher gusts are possible. The advisory will remain in effect until later tonight.

Due to high overnight winds, PECO reports that 17,000 of its customers are without power. The outages are centralized in Bucks County, Pa., and building winds throughout the day might mean more power loss. PECO says it’s working to restore power as soon as possible to those without it, and urges people to stay away from fallen power lines.

Call them at 215-841-4141 if you lose power or spot a down line.
