‘Blessing of the Bikes’ June 2

As part of its ongoing commitment to Mt. Airy and the surrounding community, Mt. Airy Presbyterian Church will host the Second Annual “Blessing of the Bikes” on Sunday, June 2, from 3:00-4:30 PM. Join us at this free event – rain or shine – open to bike riders of all kinds. The Mt. Airy Bike Collective will offer complimentary bike inspections.

“We see this event as a great way to build community in Mt Airy, connect and partner with those who enjoy our outdoors, and kick off a safe summer” said Pastor Sarah Weisiger of Mt. Airy Presbyterian Church.Philadelphia was just ranked the fourth “Most Bikeable” U.S. city according to Walk Score, an organization that ranks cities with criteria that include: bike lanes, trails, hills, destinations and the number of bike riders. The Blessing of the Bikes will be held in the Church Courtyard, 7100 Germantown Avenue (near the corner at Mt. Pleasant Avenue.) In the event of rain, it will be held in Fellowship Hall.
