Blatstein steps up as potential Philadelphia Media Network investor

The Philadelphia Media Network is hot property right now, which means Bart Blatstein is all over it.

The developer has said his group of investors, Philadelphia Hometown Media LLC, wants to purchase the company that oversees the Inquirer, Daily News, Philly.com and SportsWeek.

Blatstein’s Tower Investments has already purchased the building.

After news came out that stakeholder Alden Global wants to step back from Philadelphia Media Network, former Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell stepped up as an interested buyer last week. He brings his own group of investors to the table, including Flyers owner Ed Snider.
