‘Black Love Experience’ conference today

The Philadelphia branch of the NAACP and the Philadelphia Sunday Sun are sponsoring a conference today, Saturday, from noon to 5 p.m., that’s examining ideas and values surrounding love, sex, relationships and more in the African American community.

The “Black Love Experience” conference takes place at the Student Faculty Center of Temple University at Broad and Ontario streets. The event if free and lunch will be served.

Workshop topics include intimacy and romance, health and fitness, as well as a “MEN Only” workshop and “If Men are Dogs with author Kevin Carr”.

“Rules of Engagement” panel discussion will cover the “rules” for dating and romance in 2012, with Steven James Dixon, April Walker, Dr. James Wadley, Renee Toppin and Kevin Carr.

Also there will be health screenings, free tickets to movies, plays and other upcoming events, lunch, and so much more!!!

The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jenice Armstrong had a nice profile of event organizer J. Whyatt Mondesire and why he’s organizing the conference; you can read that here.
