Biden to celebrate one-year-anniversary of Delaware’s Race to the Top Award

    As Howard High School of Technology and three other schools prepare to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their Race to the Top Awards, Vice President Joe Biden will be at the Wilmington, Del., school to mark the occasion.

    Biden will be at Howard High today with Gov. Jack Markell, Sen. Chris Coons, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Vice President of the National Education Association Lily Eskelsen. The group will be on hand to celebrate the $100 million in funding given to Delaware schools nearly a year ago.

    Biden will talk about Race to the Top, which will be fully implemented at Howard in the 2011-2012 school year.
