Ben Franklin Bridge south walkway closes temporarily

Starting today, pedestrian traffic on the Ben Franklin Bridge will be limited to one side.

To accommodate work being done on the bridge, the Delaware River Port Authority announced the bridge’s south walkway will be temporarily closed beginning today. The closure should last for about two weeks.

The north walkway is still open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., but Camden’s Fifth Street pedestrian tunnel is also closed. Instead, use the Sixth Street tunnel or Third Street underbridge sidewalk.
